Ryan Specialty announced a succession plan that builds on the firm’s strong and deep leadership team, which will be implemented in October. Under the plan, Pat Ryan, our Founder, Chairman & CEO, will transition to the role of Executive Chairman. He will be succeeded in the CEO role by Tim Turner, current President of Ryan Specialty and Chairman & CEO of RT Specialty. Our current CFO, Jeremiah Bickham, will become President, and Janice Hamilton, current Chief Accounting Officer, will become Ryan Specialty’s next CFO. Read the press release.
Ryan Specialty announced executive leadership team promotions for RT Specialty, effective October 1, 2024, which reflect both the continued growth and evolution of the firm and the depth of talent on the RT Specialty executive leadership team. Edward McCormack will become Chief Executive Officer of RT Specialty, and Brenda (Ballard) Austenfeld and Michael VanAcker will become Co-Presidents. Read the press release.
Ryan Specialty announced that it is forming an exclusive relationship with MagMutual, the largest mutual insurer of physicians and hospitals in the U.S. This relationship is through Sapphire Blue, which specializes in developing sophisticated solutions to complex healthcare risks and is a part of Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers. Ryan Specialty announced the unification of Ryan Financial Lines and the expansion of its product offerings. The first phase was implemented in March 2024, with EmergIn Risk rebranding to RFL Cyber. Ryan Financial Lines has now completed the rebranding, unifying operations of StartPoint, Ryan Specialty Nordics, Capital Bay and the three professional liability programs from the Ryan Specialty National Programs platform.
