Ryan Specialty / RT Specialty is pleased to announce the upgrade of our online payment system. The result is an improved user experience and enhanced security. Below are useful tips to assist with navigation.
There are 2 ways to access the Ryan Specialty / RT Specialty online payment system:
- Click the hyperlink on any live RT Specialty invoice
- Some email servers deactivate hyperlinks in attachments leaving 2 options:
- Copy the hyperlink text and paste it in the address bar of your browser
- Go to ryansg.epaypolicy.com and manually enter your Account ID and Payment Key (fields are case sensitive). You can find the AGT # and payment key on any invoice as highlighted below. The account ID / AGT and payment key are permanent.
Using the Ryan Specialty / RT Specialty Payment System
Once logged in
- All open invoices will appear
- Invoices in red are overdue
- Credits display as a negative number and “credit” will display after the amount
- Use the search box to refine invoice searches
Paying an invoice or multiple invoices
- To pay an invoice select Pay Now next to the invoice(s) you want to pay
- Multiple invoices can be paid in one transaction
- Payment amount defaults to net (minus retailer commission)
- Paying amounts different than the default / net amount
- Gross premium amount is needed when paying on behalf of the insured - Credit card or ACH payment available
- Refer to the invoice for gross amount
- Taking credits on other unrelated policies is not allowed when paying on behalf of the insured because the insured will not be charged their full policy premium
- Payment amounts that are not gross or net will require a reason (Example: downpayment)
- If financing is chosen, the name of the finance company is required
- If you make an error, you can deselect by hitting the “x” next to the invoice amount
- The total amount of all invoices will be on the right side of the screen under Payment Details
- There are two payment methods:
- ACH – no fee
- Credit Card – includes their fee
- Complete payment
- Complete the Payer Name and Email address field on the left side of the screen

- Payment amount defaults to gross (including retailer commission)
- Follow complete payment instructions above
Handling return premiums / credits / debits
- Online Credit / Return premium process
- Taking credits with payment is much faster than waiting for a refund check
- Processing a credit must accompany paying a debit balance
- Select all invoices you want to pay along with credit invoices (credit amounts will be deducted from the total due)
- Any credit over $25,000 will not display on your agency’s past due statement or the online payment portal until the credit is received back from the carrier
- Reach out to premium accounting @ accountsreceivable@ryansg.com if an expected credit balance is missing from our payment portal
- Traditional Credit / Return premium process
- We process refund checks weekly on Wednesdays. Refund checks include a full remittance detail, and we send electronic remittances to the accounting contact email address on file when the refund is posted in our system. Refunds are sent out every Wed of the month
- Return premiums for insured direct bill or mortgagee bill will appear in the Ryan payment system; however, are typically returned directly
